Andra Style Peanut Chutney | Spicy peanut chutney for Idli
Try this so yummy peanut chutney with hot Idlis. I learnt this recipe from my Telugu friend and this chutney became a super hit in our house. I usually make this chutney for idlis.This chutney is very simple and very delicious!! Any day if you are tired of making sambar, you can try this chutney!!!!Ingredients:
Directions:
- Peanuts - 1 cup
- Green chilies - 8(medium spicy) to 10(more spicy)
- Cumin - 1/4 tsp
- Tamarind - 1 small piece
- Salt - As needed
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Dry red chillies - 2
- Curry leaves - Few
Directions:
- Dry roast peanuts and remove skin.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the green chillies.
- Grind peanuts, roasted green chillies, tamarind, jeera and salt by adding water.
- Add water and make sure the chutney is not thick. Consistency of the chutney is very important. Look into the video to find the correct consistency.
- Do tempering with ingredients given under tempering and pour tempering over the chutney.
- This chutney is so awesome with hot idlis.
