Teriyaki Chicken is a Japanese recipe, but it can be made easily at home with the ingredients available in our pantry.
Make sure you use a wide pan to make this recipe.
Try to use chicken thighs , then only the chicken teriyaki dish will be very juicy.
I have used brown sugar, it gives nice color - if you don't have brown sugar use normal sugar.
If possible use low sodium soy sauce.
This Teriyaki Chicken can be served with noodles or had as a snack or as a starter.
Try making this chicken teriyaki once and you and your kids will love it.
Ingredients:
- Boneless chicken thighs - 650gm
For the sauce:
- Low sodium soy sauce - 1/4th cup
- Brown sugar - 3 tbsp
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 3 tbsp
- Sesame oil - 1 tbsp
Other :
- Garlic - 2 big cloves
- Spring Onion- little
- Sesame seeds - little
- Corn flour - 1 tsp
- Water - 2 tsp
- Sesame oil - 1 tbspn
Directions:
- Cut chicken into small pieces and keep it ready.
- Mix the ingredients for making sauce and keep it ready.
- Finely chop garlic and spring onions.
- Mix corn flour and water and keep it ready.
- Heat a wide pan and add oil.
- Add chicken only after the pan is very hot.
- In high heat stir the chicken.
- The chicken will first release water and then the water will get absorbed.
- At this stage add the chopped garlic and stir fry until the chicken gets nice golden colour.
- Now add the sauce mix and stir until the sugar starts to caramelize.
- Now add the corn flour mix (optional) and stir.
- Yummy chicken teriyaki is ready.
- Garnish with some spring onion and sesame seeds!!!
- Serve with noodles or as a starter!!!
